It is isolated from?Streptomyces diastatochromogenes.?Inhibits mitochondrial F1F0 ATP synthase. A useful tool for decreasing cellular ATP levels. Induces autophagy. Stimulates lysosome acidification. Protects against ischemic kidney in male rats.
