Cell-permeable. An analog of thalidomide that was originally found based on its ability to effectively inhibit tumor necrosis factor production. Lenalidomide is 50,000 times more potent than thalidomide in inhibiting Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF). Displays potent anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory effects as well as modulates and potentiates host immune responses against multiple myeloma.
